Piping plovers may be a small and insignificant bird that we humans often just pass by, they are living entities that share our world and its beauty. I first used the pencil to render the bird in black and white and then used watercolor and acrylic to render the background, a sunset by the beach, in colors to denote how they are "fading" away from this world because of our misconducts and to further prompt a change of actions to protect this species.
