Hawksbill Turtle

Hawksbill Turtle, 3D Art
Hawksbill Turtle
I chose the Hawksbill turtle in order to express concern for marine life and how our economy has increasingly damaged the ocean and sea life. The issues that they face consist of marine debris from the littering of plastic, bycatching with netting issues, and unfair marketing and killing for turtle shells. I handcrafted a turtle to look similar to a Hawksbill turtle and used earth-toned glazes to capture the striking colors of its prized shell.
