For my entry I created a ballgown style dress made from recycled materials to demonstrate the effects coral bleaching has on the ocean. I used these materials because without intervention I picture a world where people begin to use trash to replace everyday items including clothes. The dress was carefully crafted with recycled paper, newspaper, colored pencils, and acrylic paint. I started with the skirt of the dress and worked my way up to the bodice to create a piece that displayed our endangered vibrant ecosystems we know as coral reefs.
