Regal Roadrunner

Regal Roadrunner, 3D Art
Regal Roadrunner
I have entered a model of a roadrunner which I constructed mainly from paper and wire. I started off with balled-up news-papers that I taped into the general shape of a roadrunner, and then proceeded to wrap it in blue butcher paper. I hot-glued feathers onto it which I hand cut, and then I made the tail and beak out of cardboard. I constructed the legs out of sticks, and wrapped them in wire, and in order to make it stand, I attached it to a wooden board with a wooden dowel rod. I concluded by covering this rod with plastic leaves, to make it seem like it was out in the wild.

I was inspired to make it by the roadrunner's simple majesty, and the simple need to respect them as beautiful species. I hope that we learn to respect them, and all other species on these great plains, so that we may be considered good caretakers.
